On March 30, 2016, Khazar University’s Career Center organized a presentation of the Ernst and Young Company for students of the School of Economics and Management. Samira Shabanova, Director of the Human Resources Department of Ernst and Young, spoke to the students about the company and about internship programs.
On March 30, 2016, a group of international students representing various countries including Cameroon, Czech Republic, Ghana, Pakistan, Palestine, and Zimbabwe gathered to discuss the creation of the International Students' Union.
On March 11, 2016, the International Affairs Office organized a presentation about the Carnegie Research Fellowship Program in collaboration with American Councils for International Education in Azerbaijan. The presentation took place on the Nefcthilar campus of Khazar University.
On March 11, 2016, the Department of Political Science and International Relations at Khazar University hosted H. E. Nasser Abdul Kareem, the Palestinian Ambassador to Azerbaijan, for a guest lecture about Palestine--European Union relations in the context of the European Neighborhood Policy.
On March 11, 2016, a visiting professor from the University of Łódź (Poland) delivered the first lecture for the course entitled “Vegetarianism. Philosophical Aspects.”
On March 10, 2016, Dr. Fadhil Awad Al-Shuwaili, Charge d'affaires of the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq, visited Dunya School, an affiliate of Khazar University. The visit was a follow-up to the meeting at the Embassy of Iraq held earlier this year and organized by the International Affairs Office in the framework of the recruitment plan for the 2016-2017 academic year.
On March 10, 2016, the Khazar University Student Union held presidential elections. Candidates included Khadija Ismayilova (3rd-year student of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences), Turkan Samadova (3rd-year student of the School of Education), Ozal Suleymanli (3rd-year student of the School of Economics and Management) and Gurban Asgarov (2nd-year student of the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences). All of the candidates are active members of the Student Union Parliament.
On March 8th, a celebration of International Women’s Day took place at Khazar University’s affiliate Dunya School. The event included a concert program, dances, poems, and songs prepared by pupils and teachers of the school. The event was interesting for all who attended.

On 7-12 February, Vafa Aslanova, Vice Dean of the School of Engineering, and Nurana Farhadova, Coordinator of the English Language Department, participated in the 1st combined Erasmus+ European (KA103) and International Credit Mobility (KA107) Staff Mobility Training Week: Changing Lives through Mobility and Cross-border Cooperation which was held at Middlesex University, London, UK.
