Director of Khazar Center for Eurasia and Middle East Studies Among Authors of Festschrift in Honor of Prof Peter Golden
In February 2016, Otto Harrasowitz Publishing House in Germany released a volume in honor of Prof. Peter Golden, Professor Emeritus of History, Turkish and Middle Eastern Studies at Rutgers University, the outstanding historian and orientalist in the field of medieval Eurasian studies. His achievements regarding the history of the Turkic speaking peoples and the medieval history of Eastern Europe are fundamental in the field.
Osman Karatay and István Zimonyi are the editors of the Festschrift, in which 32 leading experts from all over the world have paid tribute to Peter B. Golden’s scholarly contributions. Dr. Farda Asadov, Director of the Center for Eurasia and Middle East Studies of Khazar University, is among the contributors to the volume along with such outstanding scholars as Thomas Allsen, Christopher I. Beckwith, Edmund Bosworth, Éva Á. Csató and Lars Johanson, Devin DeWeese, Anatoly M. Khazanov, Roman Kovalev, Ruth Meserve, Uli Shamiloglu, Victor Spinei, İsenbike Togan, and István Vásáry.
