The 51st meeting of the Assembly of Science and Art was held on Khazar University’s downtown campus. The founder of the university and Chairman of the Board of Directors and Trustees, Professor Hamlet Isaxanli, opened the assembly, greeting the guests and introducing the guest lecturer, Ahmet Arslan from Ege University (Turkey) who had come upon Khazar University’s invitation to deliver lectures to students about Islamic Philosophy. Dr. Isaxanli also announced the theme for the assembly’s lecture, which was “Abu Hamid al-Gazali: History and Today.” Ahmet Arslan gave a very interesting speech on the topic, followed by a discussion. The following attendees actively participated in the discussion: Halis Koyunjuoghlu (Educational Advisor to the Turkish Ambassador to Azerbaijan); John Ryder, Aydinkhan, Mail Yagubov, Isakhan Isakhanli (Khazar University); Mais Gulaliyev (Institute of Eastern Studies of ANAS); Ali Farhadov (History Museum); Niyazi Mehdi, Irada Zardanali, Matanat Sahikhanova (Institute of Philosophy and Law of ANAS); and others. Dr. Isaxanli closed the meeting, thanking the lecturer and guests for their participation. Then photos were taken.
